Flora Creative bring their latest creation to iOS, Cornflower Compressor

Flora Creative have built up a solid portfolio of iOS effects apps over the last couple of years, with Buttercup Bitcrush, Cactus Chorus, Dahlia Delay, Phlox Phaser, pyxis minor, Saffron Saturator, and Tiger-Lily Tremolo. Cornflower Compressor is the latest addition to the range. As you can imagine the app is exactly what it says it is, a compressor.

Here’s what Flora Creative say about their new app:

Cornflower Compressor is a simple stereo dynamics compressor with variable knee and ratio for gooey pumps and swells.

Built upon the tenet of simplicity, the flora project presents great sounding, lightweight audio effects using Inter-App Audio and Audiobus technologies to allow you to get the sound you want, without sacrificing processing power.

If you know Flora Creative’s apps you’ll know that pretty much all of them have the same interface. This can be a really useful feature. If you buy any of their apps you’ll know what everything does very quickly. The down side is that there’s almost no variation in the interface, and it can be easy to forget which one you’ve fired up. It’s a minor point. The most important thing is how it sounds. I haven’t tried out Cornflower Compressor as yet, but I have found some of the others in the range useful, so my guess is that Cornflower will be useful too.

Cornflower Compressor costs $1.99 on the app store:
